6 miles. 81 minutes. 13:30 pace.
So this run was a lot harder than Tuesday’s. Alot a lot. My feet hurt; I was pissed off from work; I was depressed from dropping two benjamins on gifts and wardrobe (mostly my wardrobe); it was at least ten degrees hotter tonight. In general, I’d much rather sit on my couch and forget the marathon altogether.
But I know that sometime soon I’ll be excited about this crazy scheme again and putting off runs now will only set me back later. Without much energy for creativity, I just did my old three-mile loop forwards then back. You’d be surprised how tedious this is. By the middle of mile 4, my insolent child voice was whining about going home, but my body was fairly alert. I pushed and finally finished about ten minutes after I’d planned.
I realized, I need to do a few posts about my running thoughts. They’re immensely entertaining. Coming soon.
