Well, if you’re still here
Then you’re probably wondering what has become of that crazy girl who was going to run a marathon with minimal training under her belt.
Well, she had an anxiety attack, broke down, did some serious thinking, and decided to postpone her marathon debut until further notice. Long story short, working full time, running a full marathon schedule, and keeping up with life was just too much on my plate right now.
THE PLAN: I’m currently looking for a race (10k) to participate in locally. Then it’s on to a half marathon, and in March, I’d like to run the Little Rock Marathon (my ultimate goal to begin with). This gives me proper milestones between 6.2 miles (my longest race) and 26.2, more racing experience, more time, and a better training window (chill and breeze instead of the inside of a convection oven).
Tonight kicks off my return to running (again). I’m excited to run again without an objective (other than to run) or an overarching goal. It should be a relaxing experience.
