Me laughing at Eddoeslife and looking like I have a bad sunburn.
To put worries to rest, “34F and dropping” has nothing to do with losing my “tatas.” (As you can see above.) It’s a reference to the crazy Arkansas weather I just ran through. And yes, I ran all 5.14 miles. My Weather Channel desktop thingy says it’s 33F with 12mph winds and feels like 23F. I believe them. Going out was a lot easier as the wind was to my back, but I actually feel like the second half of my run was a lot faster when it probably wasn’t. I was just in a hurry to get in out of the wind.
It’s amazing how a couple weeks off my routine and I can still come back feeling better and stronger than I did before I went off training. Besides a little tightness in the muscle above my left ankle, this 5-miler felt like an easy 3.
Unfortunate discovery, I lost one of my earrings on the run. Good news is they were cheap fakes I wear to work.
Edit: I forgot to tell you guys how fast I ran. An hour and ten minutes, a 13:00 pace. Not awesome, but pretty damn good for the conditions.
