New route, 4 miles. 50 minutes. 12:30 pace.

I think doing this new route in the dark was a bad idea. I didn’t get lost or anything, but I was so busy scoping out the neighborhood that I lost focus on my pace. I also forgot where my mile markers were for this route and could only remember where roughly two miles was. My split turned out to be 25 minutes, and I was so disappointed. However, I knew I could keep up the pace and finish with a respectable time. 12:30 is my marathon goal pace, right now, after all. The last two miles were a battle, though. More hills and a sudden drop in temperature made my limbs feel like wood.

Now, I’m going to stretch these tired muscles and cheer for the Hogs as they fight for the Sugar Bowl title.
